The Google Nest Hello video doorbell has been available in the U.S. for some time and has been available in Europe since 2028. This smart video doorbell sends a notification to your smartphone when someone is at your door, allowing you to speak with them if you wish.
The Google Nest Hello doorbell features a camera, microphone, and speaker. The HD camera uses HDR to capture clear images of visitors both during the day and at night. When someone rings the doorbell, the homeowner receives a notification on their phone.
Thanks to the wide-angle lens, the caller is visible from head to toe. This allows them to talk to the person at the door, even if they aren’t home. If they can’t speak, they can play a recorded message so the person at the door knows what’s going on. Nest Hello also features facial recognition, allowing it to tell whether a friend or a stranger is ringing the doorbell.
However, most doorbell systems are not compatible with the Nest Hello without modification, so we recommend having it installed by a professional.
