Due to stricter regulations under the Gas Boiler Act and the associated certification requirements, it is no longer financially viable for us to continue providing maintenance services for gas-fired boilers. For this reason, we will need to refer you to one of our partners for any service-related inquiries.
The Gas Boiler Act took effect on April 1, 2023. As of that date, only certified installation companies are permitted to perform work on gas-fired appliances, such as central heating boilers, water heaters, and gas fireplaces. The purpose of this law is to reduce the number of accidents caused by carbon monoxide poisoning.
Certified companies can be identified by the CO-free logo and are listed in the registry of gas-fired appliances. Installers also carry (digital) identification proving that they work for a certified company.
It is important that both installers and clients—such as homeowners and building owners, as well as tenants and landlords—ensure they hire a certified company to perform work on gas-fired appliances. Failure to comply with this law may result in violations and potential penalties.
Routine maintenance
Regular maintenance of technical systems, including your gas-fired central heating boiler or ventilation unit, is essential. Wear and tear and contamination are a natural consequence of use and can compromise efficiency, comfort, and lifespan. In addition to the appliance itself, it is important to periodically inspect flue gas and air ducts to detect wear and defects in a timely manner. Identifying defects and potential malfunctions early ensures proper operation and the safety of residents.
After all, your comfort and safety—and that of your fellow residents—are our top priority.
